Dedication
"It is an unresolvable contradiction that these images owe their existence to the highly imaginative shacks bulit by the people of Baseco. They deserve utmost respect, along with the hope that, in the future, these photographs will be the past. This book would not exist had it not been for Christina Maria Sevilla taking me to Baseco in February of 2008. And for this, I really ought to have dedicated the book to her. However, she will approve that I dedicated this publication to the people of Baseco instead. May their imaginativeness, and the political and social circumstances enable them to create permanent homes for themselves."
